Settling in for a weekend at the Ritz!
Last weekend we headed up to Chicago to stay at the Ritz Carlton in all of its renovated glory. The hotel had a re-opening this fall, and we were so excited to see all of the decor changes that had been made!
The first thing I have to say is TILE. GOALS. The shoe selfies that happened over the weekend were out of control. From the lobby, to the bathrooms, to the cafe, the photos were being sent straight to my supplier so we can use the inspiration for future houses. It was incredible!
Our room was also recently renovated – we stayed in the Lakeside Suite with the best views of Lake Michigan and the Navy Pier. Sunset every night left the most beautiful pink sky over the Centennial Wheel. Our bathroom was gorgeous, and the layout of the bathtub was my favorite – inside of the shower. Perfect for a little bubble overflow.
The staff at the Club Lounge was incredibly welcoming, and the lounge itself was the best I’ve seen at any Ritz. The views continued with 180 degrees of windows, and just like the lobby, the decor was on point.
We also got to see the very first snow of winter, and these photos are off of the cafe patio. Usually there’s a cozy little area with a fireplace, but it made for a great place to kick around some powder.
The Ritz hosted us at their restaurant, Torali, for dinner on Thursday night. We indulged in Alaskan crab, beef carpaccio, fresh pasta made daily, and shared a steak for the main course. We could have stayed at the hotel the entire time and never left in the cold and would have been completely okay with it!
Ron, being the facial aficionado that he is, headed down to the spa on Friday morning while I worked. He came back raving that it was hands down the best facial he has ever received, which is saying a LOT! He probably gets two a month and hopefully won’t read this blog post of me calling him out.
We can’t wait to come back in the summer to experience the Veuve Clicquot boat tour through the river, and the beach front experience that the Ritz offers complete with butler service.
A HUGE thank you to Jessica, Nicole, and the entire Ritz team for completing our weekend in Chicago. We had the best time, and will see you again very soon!
