I first started cycling as a cardio supplement to my workout about five years ago. (When I say cycling, I totally mean on a stationary bike in a dark room. As in a spin class. As in no helmet necessary.) I am not a fan of running and cardio was not my friend. But cycling was the only workout that could make me finish out the forty five minutes in a total sweat and loving it.
Over the summer in New York, Ron and I were spinning multiple times a week to keep up with our rosé intake. The Hamptons is not easy on the diet. When we came home, we missed our Soul Cycle routine, especially since there was nothing in Greenville that compared.
Recently CycleBar came to town, and I am loving it. While it’s a slightly different style than a Soul Cycle, the concept is still very similar and I could not be happier that this is now an option for my weekly workout routine. CycleBar has a monitor on the bike to keep track of your stats, or you can throw your towel over it, close your eyes, and ride to the beat like I chose to do the majority of the time.
So get in here and sweat next to me – the CycleBar community is one that will keep you motivated and accountable. You’ll find me partying on the bike three days a week.
