Talking about my love for California or just my love from California? A little bit of both. Born and raised in the Southeast, I haven’t spent much time on the West Coast. So when I met an tanned surfer from the OC I was fell in love with his laid back attitude and style, even though I have to filter every photo we’re in together if I haven’t layered on the St. Tropez. He makes me look a little pale, but when you’re Greek and Native American you tend to do that to most. So here’s a bit on each subject.
Over the course of our marriage, there’s a few things I’ve learned about Cali…
Even though I’m not a fan of basketball (the squeaky shoes annoy the Bejesus out of me), sitting on the floor at the Lakers will make you have a strong appreciation for the game. Or Khloe Kardashian’s butt from that proximity. I forget which.
Four miles does not equal the same amount of time in LA than it does anywhere else in the country. You can learn an Uber driver’s entire life story in that distance. We also learned what the Uber Pool button means. But that story is for another time.
Fashion Island is my safe haven. If I get lost, find me there.
Also over the course of our marriage, we’ve come up with a few
#RallisRules regarding our family…
We, under no circumstances, go to amusement parks.
Refer to number one, insert ski trips. We prefer heat.
Musicals, also a no no. My man fell asleep during Cirque du Soleil and after that, well, there’s just no hope for anything else.
Buffets. Negative. Gross. Except for Soby’s in Greenville.
You will forever stand as an exception.
More to come as we continue to grow both lists. Lots of love from each coast.
