We knew that we had to make the 10th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic a priority on our calendar this spring, and we could not be happier that we did. Thank you to our friend Cliff for taking up the challenge of up and back in one day, along with letting me co-pilot.
Aaaand we made it to the Rosé Garden! We were so impressed with all of the decor at the event – the yellow umbrellas, the white chandeliers, and colorful bottles of Veuve to be had. The photo opportunities are endless. Rosé Garden tickets come with a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé, and a snack box lunch that was extremely impressive. Steak salad? Yes please.
If you are thinking about attending the event, the Rosé Garden is absolutely the way to go (unless you get into that VIP tent, then bring me with you.) We had no problem getting a front row seat, and it just so happened to be the cutest white couch you’ve ever seen.
The view from our seats! I never imagined that we would be so close. Well, almost too close! Ron and Jenny got hit with a ball, but it was the best spilled champagne experience you could ever have. (We kept the ball as a souvenir.)
There was so much great style at the event, and I loved how everyone chose something a little different. I will say that I did not envy anyone in heels. The weather was perfect – a clear day and 75 degrees. My outfit was from Hampden Clothing, and I have linked it at the bottom of the post. Thank you so much ladies for dressing me for the day!
This was another area in the Rosé Garden, slightly closer to the Alicia Keys performance, but you really could not go wrong anywhere. I expected the event to be a bit more hectic – needing to ‘claim’ a spot early, but Veuve did an amazing job at making sure the space was comfortable and not crazy crowded.
Just my speed. The day went by so fast, I wanted to document everything, but there was fun to be had and champagne to clink.
We had SO much fun at the event, we didn’t want the day to end. So we hopped on the plane for a short twenty minute flight to our home away from home – Gurney’s Montauk.
Welcome to Gurney’s – home of my favorite views in the Hamptons, overflowing Rosé, and what I like to call my ‘electric chair’ meal from Scarpetta. We could not have been happier to spend the night next to the shore. We stayed in the cutest seaside cottage with our friends, and danced the night away on the back deck. And yes, I ate my Duck Foie Gras Ravioli. (Thank you, Helen).
Overall, one for the books. Overall, definitely one of the best weekends I have ever had. SO many thank you’s to hand out here – from the Veuve Cliquot team, thank you to Sydney, Michelle and Stephanie. We would love nothing more than to join you for #VCPC11. From Hampden Clothing thank you to Katie and Stacy. These are pieces that I will cherish for a long time. From Gurney’s Montauk, thank you to Rachael, Helen and Piero, and the PR gurus Corianna and Greer. We can’t wait to see all of you next month. Last but not least, thank you to my crazy friends that jumped on a plane and took this adventure with us – Jenny, Sarah and Cliff. And hubs, thank you for being my travel partner for life
– every day is exciting with you in it.
Love you all, and cheers to the next adventure.
